  • Sleepy's satisfaction assurance plus and trail/return period.

I urge all to stay away from sleepys and its consumer unfriendly practices. I started looking for a mattress about a year ago. I told the associate in Bowie that I had back surgery and wan anticipating having another very soon was looking for a specific mattress. She informed me that she was the professional and I should listen to her, which I did to my disadvantage. Because of this I was allowed to exchange this mattress for a better selection. I was told that I could purchase the satisfaction assurance plus which allows to to return the mattress within one year. Because of my back... More...

  • Terrible Customer service

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. Sleepys has to be the WORST place to deal with when you have an issue. I bought a mattress there in Feb 2013, by December it had craters in it and neither of us are large people. I had it replaced with the same brand, thinking it was just a fluke. they made me pay for the delivery - it wasn't my fault the mattress was bad - the manufacturer should pay for the delivery!! Now, only 5 months later I am having the SAME issue. My back hurts every morning because I am sleeping in a crater..oh sorry it is only 1 1/4 inches deep and has to be 1 1/2 inches to qualify. 1 1/4 inches in 5... More...

  • Sleepy's and refusal to honor warranty

2 years ago, I bought a high end mattress at Sleepy's in West Springfield MA. A year later the mattress started to sag in the center. We contacted both Sleepy's and Stearn's and Foster. The mattress manufacturer made us take photos and measurements. They got them and then told us that we had to go through Sleepy's for the action on the warranty. The sagging has gotten so bad that I now have chronic back pain and frequently wake in the night with pain. My husband and I have to sleep on opposite ends of the bed to keep from rolling to the center. Sleepy's used their... More...

  • Sleepy's Mattress'

I purchased three mattress' from Sleepy's. The salesman sold me on the 400 series. Which is a sleepy's brand. I didn't buy the mattress protector but purcha. sed two pillow's that were $100.00 each they were supposed to be great for sleeping. The pillows were horribly hot can't use them and there is absolutely no support on our mattress it's sinking in the middle and we can hardly sleep and wake up in agony. We hate this mattress so much but after five years finally paid off thousands for the mattress'. Don't know what to do. But will never... More...

  • Underhanded invoice

I am a victim of Sleepy's questionable invoicing practice. When I needed to return my recently purchased bed set, I found out that the salesman who was responsible for the original purchase had charged me on the invoice (but not verbally) for the sheets, bed frame and bed protector ($255) which I was told were free, and instead reduced the price of the bed-set by this amount. The consequence of this is that I am now only being given a refund on the invoiced price of the bed set, thereby effectively losing $255. When I argued this point in the store, the salesman admitted that he... More...

  • Sleepy's nightmare

Sleepy's is a company based on scams and dishonest employees. Whe you try to contact head quarters, the customer service reps are rude, and DO NOT stand behind they product! They ripped me and my family off and are refusing to fix the problem. They sell a mattress and throw in all these "FREE" products but dont tell you they slight reduce the price of the mattress and add these "FREE" ITEMS INTO THE THE TOTAL COST OF THE MATTRESS!. Only when we had a problem did they send us in every which direction but the right one! I'm angry and sad that they treated us... More...

  • Breach of Contract

My wife and I purchased a mattress from a local Sleepy's retailer two weeks ago. The salesman, a young man called Stephen, told us that the mattress would be ready for delivery on Thursday, September 9, 2010. However, we could not promise to be at home, since my wife works, and I am a full-time student. Fortunately, Stephen told us that they would call us on Thursday, September 9, to discuss delivery. Since Sleepy's offers a price guarantee, we conducted intensive research and found a \"comparable\" mattress (i.e., we called Sleepy's to find out which would be a... More...

  • Bad Karma

Sleepys sells mattresses on the internet and in local retail stores. They charge more if you purchase in the local store. Even shipping has a different charge, it is $69.99 on the internet and $89.99 at the store. One of the mattresses i purchased was $779 on the internet and $864 in the store. This is from the same company. They claimed to me that it was done to pay the salary of the salesperson. This is a rip-off much less bad customer relations. Beware of Sleepy's More...

  • I will never

Yes, I also have such a horrible experience like yours. I will stay away from Sleepy's in rest of my life. First, we paid off everything already, but their computer system said that we just paid the deposit. After we figure out that was there computer system fault, them the delivery problem came up again. Everytime I call to the store to make appointment for delivery, they just answered "Our computer system is down, call us tomorrow." I wonder how could they service custemer with such a crap computer system? Because thay don't have such a "Custemer Service",... More...

  • Not the mattress I ordered

My major concern was getting a soft comfortable mattress. I can't sleep on a hard bed. I toss and turn in misery all night long. On vacations, I have had to sleep on things like pool floats and the cushion from chaise lounges because I could not tolerate the mattresses. I made this very clear to the salesman, this was my priority. The salesman, Jeff, pushed me away from the more reasonably priced mattresses to the expensive ones that have the different "color" choices of hardness. Here they call it "Sleep to Live" mattress, it looks like the call it... More...

  • MATTRESS HORROR STORY

I purchased a Queen-Waldorf mattress from Sleepy's in Ramsey, NJ approx 16 mos ago and after 9 mos, it has a huge deep indentation in the center. After contacting them and having their 'inspection', I find out that they will only replace the box spring because the flaw it is only 1 3/8 inch deep instead of the needed 1.5 inches. At this poin, they will only replace the box spring (for which they want to charge me $89.99 delivery) even though the mattress is clearly sunken right in the center. I only weigh 125 lbs and sleep alone. HELP! PLEASE! More...

  • Sleepy's customer service No Support for Defective Products

I bought a box spring and frame from Sleepy's in Vails Gate, NY and less than 3 months later the thing collapsed under normal use. It is clearly defective with a bulge sticking out the bottom from a weak supporting rail. They sent out their representative who took pictures and they said the manufacturer's report showed no defect and that there was a stain on the box spring anyway so they could not exchange it. There was no stain. They are lying. The product is clearly defective and they refuse to stand behind their product. I was ripped off plain and simple. Sleepy's is a... More...

  • Sleepy's Won't Honor Warrantees

I bought a Sealy mattress at Sleepy's in Philadelphia for my son when he relocated for college 8/2004. It had a 10 year warrantee. Within 2 years the bed was horribly ribbed and very uncomfortable. He called the store. He was told it had to have a 2" deep indentation to be repaired/replaced. The warrantee says 1-1/2". It is a pillow top, pretty hard to measure with all the fluffy topping. He has since moved to Danbury CT. I stayed with him in October 2008 and the bed was incredibly terrible!! He now has developed a low back condition. I told him to try to get the warrantee... More...
